re you ready for this jelly? Raised in a bakery, Doughnut Messaround was born to be a wrestling ring. She grew up wrestling temptation and gained her tremendous strength hauling bags of pastry flour. Life was hole-some and good in the bakery until one day she tripped on a fallen dutchie into the deep-fryer. After the accident she came to with a glazed look in her eyes and an insatiable appetite for doughnuts... and GLORY. She still delivers service with a smile but don’t let her honey dipped-position fool you, she’s cruller than you think.
A play on the misogynist/cissexist language that is prevalent in the drag community. Serving Fish turns to the idea that drag is only for men, it's ties to toxic masculinity but also the expectations of passing privilege, presumptions about genitals with their link to gender and gynophobia.
Utilizing absurd imagery and comedy, this caricature seeks to shine a light on the language that is utilized within the drag and queer communities and hopefully eventually curb its usage.
